The seat stays level no matter where you have it, I don't slide at all.

You might want to buy a cushion though because the seat is pretty hard on your cheeks. I have been riding an hour a day as part of my home therapy for two years now and this is a great machine for maintaining leg strength/mobility and getting in some cardio. The only complaints I can think of for this bike are the fan is useless (minor) and the pedal straps are tight, you need to use small shoes or go barefoot like I do. It’s a tight fit and I’m only size 11.
