Gosh, I suppose for a very competitive hill climber that might be true. For a cycling work out like peloton or similar you can get a pretty good load. I am in decent shape and have ridden for a long time. At 50 years old, I stay in the middle to lower third of the resistance range and it’s more than enough. It is magnetic, so it’s silent but cannot truly lock the wheel like a friction brake. To me it’s worth the trade for the smoothness and quietness

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.False! The Schwinn IC4 has intense resistance from my experience…I use three times a week with the JRNY App which makes it intense and fun to ride every time I use it the more challenging it gets…I give it two thumbs up! Thanks Best Buy!
