“Is the mic on the device? My cigarette lighter is in my arm rest so I don't think it would hear me well unless I can still talk thru my phone while on Bluetooth.”

The microphone is on the device. Would be hard for the other party to hear you if inside your armrest.

If your 12 Volt power outlet is located in the center console, the microphone may have difficulty clearly picking up your voice.
