DENTAL FLOSS: Pull off a LONG length from the dispenser (about 24-30 inches). Fold in half, then half again, Pry up a corner of the disc from the back of your phone - hopefully you can do this with your fore-finger and thumb while at the same time, hold the folded string of dental floss and slide is between the disc and the phone when you get the disc pried up a tad bit. Slide the dental floss underneath starting at the top of bottom of the disc to the other end while at the same time, pulling straight up with the floss and edging the disc up, off the phone. When I did this, I got half way down the disc and it just "popped" up and off the phone. All I had to do was take some eyeglass cleaner to the phone to wipe away any of the dental floss wax and all was clean and NO SCRATCHES/DAMAGE to the phone. An I think I can still use the disc again as the sticky part seems to still be in pretty good shape - just remember to stick it to a piece of waxed paper in the event you want to use it on something else - no guarantee but you can always try.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no guarantee that damage will always be avoided. However, try using fishing line. Put it under the edge of the metal plate, then work it under the same way a person flosses their teeth. Make sure your fingers are protected first so the line does not cut into you. After cleaning off the glue residue, you can use a good roll of double-sided tape to attach the plate to your other device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only way that I have found is to use a razor blade to get up underneath it and get it started. It makes the metal piece unusable but gets it off of your phone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I read an answer that included using dental floss. I can attest to the fact that the solution worked for me. To get started I soaked a Qtip in alcohol and ran it around the edges of the magnet. I then used a single strand of floss to start, periodically dripping alcohol from the Qtip into the opened spacing. Eventually, I double over the single strand of floss by folded onto itself to finish. The result was a clean unscratched phone back and a reusable magnet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just took a qtip w alcohol and went around magnet w it. Then I took dental floss and put alcohol on that as well wrapped it around the magent a few times and it popped off. No damage to samsung 9. Be patient it took a couple of trys.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try goo-gone, or some other glue disolvent. Not sure what it will do to old phone, so test it first. You will need to apply a new glue to the magnet, as the goo-gone will have dissolved all existing glue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If in New York, Use Metrocard. Slide the card and pop out the metal piece. This will ensure no damage to phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The pack included a clear semi-rigid plastic card. Per the instructions, the card was to be used to insert between surface and disc to facilitate removal. I have not tried it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use a credit card or anything that can get wedge between the magnetic backing and device. You can use a hair dryer to up the sticky backing and then use something to pry it off. I don't suggest to reuse the sticky backing on another device, as in it won't stick well anymore
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Remove it with old credit card and use rubbing alcohol for sticky stuff
