The tablet would be attached via a magnet. The mount itself is magnetized and it comes with 2 adhesive sticker/metal plates. You adhere either the small or large metal plate to the back of the device and stick it to the mount. That being said, I don't personally think I'd stick a tablet to it. It holds fairly well, but I'm not sure how it would do with that amount of weight. Your typical tablet (unless it's an iPad mini/Kindle Fire) is a good bit heavier than your average phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ideal for any thing smaller than a galaxy note 9 or iphone plus. It will hold, but hit a speed bump or pot hole and the magnet will not hold. Definetly will not hold a tablet.
