Yes it is a little wobbly, but not much when brand new. My mount started to show signs of wear after 9 month of use. When I took it down to see if it was just the suction cup I noticed that the rubber inside where the metal arm connects to the suction cup had deteriorated to the point where it was going to fail any time now. No doubt this was caused by being left stuck to the inside of a windshield during some pretty extreme summer temps. Expect to replace this device every 9-12 months.

No it's very stable and solid as long as none of the plastic pieces break .... mine did.

I have not had an issue with it while driving.

Only a little bit when you drive on rough roads.
