“I am using the S-video output jack from my DirecTV receiver to my Insignia TV receiver. Can I continue with this connection with the HD Home Run recorder? (Or any other DVR you sell?) Also do you have a DVR without subscription fees?”

All HDHomeRun devices are called "Network attached tuners" which means that you connect them to a router, and then your smart devices, like an iPad or Xbox One, can use the HDHomeRun app to watch over the air TV. They don't have an s-video input and they don't work with DirecTV receivers.
