The 7200 rpm drive will work when replacing in any HP, built since 2010. The only problem is temperature? Use an external cooling pad with dual fans. (Bestbuy prices these very competitively.) The worst case is you will have to buy a better internal cooling fan, a $15.00 to $30.00 dollar Item. Make sure at least one fan is as close to the drive compartment as possible, the external chill pad will do the job. (Before you zip it up download a 1/2 hour video to it, all mother boards have a temp limiter aka A thermocouple, your computer will simply shut down if it is to hot and start again once it is cooled. this has never happened to me with 2 laptops. both HP. a 2010 model and my newest one 2016.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, there should be no problem, the only issue is that it may use power a bit faster than the previous drive, when only using battery. Make sure you set the drive to Energy Saver mode for non-powered use over an extended period.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, assuming it is a 2.5" SATA drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, as long as the computer uses the sata connector it should fit and connect perfectly. You will need to set partitions, format them, and install your operating system of choice, and then your remaining software. Ignore the short connector on the end, it is a separate power connector and does not need anything in a laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Based on the information I found on HP Website, this HDD may work in your laptop. They list 4 different HDDs on the page but don't list a 1 TB drive. You may have to go to a 750GB HDD or check with your Bios manufacturer about the MB Bios to see if it will recognize a 1 TB drive.
