I had an Xbox One X before making the upgrade to my Xbox Series X. I highly recommend the upgrade. The speed and power of the console is amazing. Adding this allows you to store and play more Series X/S games since they are only able to be played from the internal hard drive unless you add this product to it. X/S games can be stored on an external hard drive but they cannot be played from an external drive
