You can store anything on it, but Series S|X games must be stored on it to play directly from them if they are not on internal storage.

However you can only play series x and s games from the internal storage or the new (way over priced) dedicated Seagate drives. No other ssd on the market, even if they are equal to, or better as far as speed and performance go will play a game directly from it self. It will still have to be transferred to the internal storage or Seagate drive in order to play.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This will NOT work for any XBOX One. original, S or X. They do not have the slot for it. It only works for the the non One versions. I ended up getting a PNY 1TB PRO Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive - 400MB/s and it will work for all the Xbox One versions.
