If you are trying to load or play an series X game "Optimized for X/S", that was created or optimized just for the X/S series. NO, your external wont work. It will make you install that game on the internal storage or one of these memory cards, other wise it will not load or play the game. If your just trying to play a normal Xbox one game. It will work just fine. Hopefully this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Internal sad expansion will always be garage than external due to connections

Please try again later.No. In order for the Xbox Series X/S to play Series X/S games at full capacity they’ll need to be installed on the internal or expanded internal SSD. These NVME SSDs are Gen4 and provide the read speed needed for these consoles to play Series S/X games properly.
