Standard Sata data and power cables.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You always need to buy a SATA cable for connection. You should have the power adapter already available from your power supply on your computer. The drive comes with adapters in case you have older power supply/computer and need it. No hard drive comes with the "interface" cable. You should buy it.
I would recommend:

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no need of a power adapter. the USB cable should be able to handle all that is needed to power up this drive. if you have the "blue" usb 3.0 port, it performs the best.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The drive is a Serial ATA (SATA or Serial Advanced Technology Attachment). Either mount the drive and connect a Standard SATA plug and data cable from the computer or insert into a drive bay, i.e. a NAS device. If your motherboard does not have a cable spare, i.e. not connected to a drive then you will need to purchase a Standard SATA cable. Best Buy offers... "Insignia™ - 2' Right-Angle Serial ATA 2.0 Cable - Black, Model: NS-PZ02501SKU: 5884325". That is the type of cable you need. One end connects to the drive and the other to a corresponding SATA connector on the motherboard. See the attached picture.
