I plugged the drive into a Windows 10 PC and no driver was required for it to show up and be usable in the file manager. It includes software from Seagate, but I did not install it.

The drivers are built in to the drive it's self. Once connected your computer should recognize the drive.

You should address this question with Seagate. It works for back up on my Windows 10, Toshiba Machine.
