In disk management on the pc that it doesn't show you can see if you can assign a drive letter to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. I have Window 7 Professional version. My Seagate external drive did not show up in Windows Explorer or in Computer (formally My computer). So I Right clicked on Computer, then clicked on Manage. Then close to the bottom of the window I found Disk Management. I clicked Disk Management and a window popped up with all my disk drives. The Seagate drive was listed at Offline. So I clicked on the Offline (I can't remember if I right clicked or left clicked), but it gave me an option to put the drive online. So I clicked Online. I then did a restart, and my Seagate drive showed up in Windows Explorer and Computer. And it works perfectly.
