“Is this a "plug and play" drive for Macs and PCs?”

• Yes, as long as you format it via disk utility first.

• I've had no problem at all mounting this dive on both MAC (El Capitan) and on a PC (Win10) I did not install any of the Seagate software that came bundled with the drive.
