Yes and No. You could void the warranty and pry it out of the case... but it would be a better solution to by a new hdd and use it as the replacement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't recommend it. Internal HDs are protected from physical shock inside the chassis. Also, the access time on a internal is faster due to the SATA connecting directly to the bus. This is only best as a backup or sharing drive, not a primary drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you have to have an internal hard drive for the boot program and operating system to work correctly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.TECHNICALLY YES... YOU CAN SET YOUR BIOS TO BOOT FROM USB, AND REMOVE THE INTERNAL DRIVE ALL TOGETHER. BUT YOUR SYSTEM MAY RUN FAIRLY SLOW SINCE IT IS RUNNING OFF OF USB. YOU WILL HAVE TO TEST IT TO REALLY FIND OUT THOUGH.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able use the hard drive inside the external case as an internal hard drive in another machine. However, I don't know why you'd do this as an initial purchase. If you're internal hard drive is failing, simply by a replacement internal hard drive.
