I wouldn't recommend it. You would achieve better performance from the devices primary drive. It would be more practical to move files such as photos, videos and music to the external drive to free up space on the computer so that the games can be installed on the primary drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have one of these as an external hard drive on my macbook pro and on my xbox one. I have the game files loaded on them and it works just fine. It is actually alot faster than the xbox one's stock hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All you have to do is check the system requirements for your game. What you dont want is a game writing back and forward on the external hard drive. Some of them are not meant for that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Works great with the XBOX!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yup. Depending on how technologically inclined you are, you can move them back and forth, like if you have a gaming PC with a smallish SSD. Which, to be honest, you could get a 240/256 gb SSD fairly cheap around now. I have 1 of these for my computer and one for my Xbox One and it works for both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not really sure, but depending on the games graphics, i wonder if the data transfer would be fast enough to keep it smooth. You could try. If it doesnt work, you could move non gaming files on to the external instead.
