• yes I am using it as a backup. do not use the seagate dash to backup . use windows backup which will allow you to backup the system and all drives. just use the custom setting when windows 10 transfers to the windows 7 or 8 backup program.

• Short answer, yes. The drivers load instantly without issue. Long answer, the OS hasn't been out long enough to see any major potential pitfalls so you'll need to wait longer if you intend on seeing any major issues.
