Q: QuestionThe box shows photo of a power on/off button but I cannot find one on the actual device. Side it's supposed to be on does not look like side in photo on box. I don't like leaving them on all the time..and don't like the idea of just unplugging it.

• A:Answer There's no on or off switch noted on my box. But unplugging will not damage it. Just be sure to close out all of your documents after you save them to the drive. Then eject it from the computer correctly.

• A:Answer yes it does, i used it for my ps4 and my mac, unfortunately you have to change its format, so i couldn't save data from both devices at the same time. once you plug it in it should ask you if you want to change its format and once you do just go ahead and save your data.

• A:Answer Backing up my computer internal hard drive with Seagate 2 TB external HDD: Seagate external HDD came with "Seagate Dashboard" backup program already installed. I installed it on my internal HDD and then chose the options of files to be backed up. The software then took over. Since I chose all folders except 'operating system' for an initial backup, the process took several hours since the Seagate was connected to the USB 2.0 connector on my computer. Since then I have purchased a plug-in board (StarTech PEXUSB3S11 ) to supply a USB 3.0 port from the motherboard's PCI Express connector. This should speed up download by an order of magnitude next time I do a backup.
