If you format the drive so that the file system is exFAT, then both MAC and PC will be able to read and transfer files. However, devices such as Playstation, Xbox and blu-ray players do not read exFAT.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No separate driver needed and this does work on both Mac and windows based PC (I use mine on an iMac desktop), but it does need to be formatted for one or the other and I don't now if it is transferable once formatted. So It probably will not go back and forth between systems. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are drivers to make it work either way. If you use it as an NTFS drive you need a driver for your mac machines. If you format it for mac you need a driver on your windows boxes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works with both Mac and Windows, but you need to use Mac's Disk Utility to format it for both (be VERY careful that you are formatting this hard drive, not your computer's hard drive) before using it, if you're going to want to use it on both operating systems. I formatted mine for EXFAT (Fat32 also works on Mac and Windows but is limited to files that are 4G or smaller), and that's worked well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it works with bath Mac and Windows
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, i use the drive on both
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found drive came formatted for Windows, MAC could read but not write to it, I had to format drive for MAC to match my environment. software indicates you can partition the drive example 2 TB Windows, 2 TB MAC, BUT I did not try that
