QuestionWill this work as a permanent drive that i will always be using kinda like a sata sold state drive that in your pc or would i have to get another solid state drive and install it instead of using this ?

- Answer Yes it will work fine for that purpose. I use a Seagate 1 Terabyte external hard drive exactly like that. But I could also use my 4 Terabyte Seagate external hard drive the same way.

- Answer Its RPM is probably 5400 for most of the typical portable hard drives rather than 7200 for typical desktop ones (with power adapter).

- Answer I thins so. You’re instruction manual for the I6 should tell you. The PS4 actually has the option to add an outside memory such as the sea gate in settings.

QuestionCan I use two of these... One connected to my router to store my data and another one connected to a computer on the same network to backup that data? If so, would it have to be a manual process or could I use Windows Backup?

- Answer Not sure haven’t used it on a router for a server but usually you can but router has to be setup for it but for the PC it might be manual I have a Mac so not sure either

- Answer I don't know if it is dish compatible or not but, it will probably work if the dish router, converter or box has a usb port. It will work with a digital over the air converter with a usb port.

- Answer Sadly no. Your DVR will not let you record anything directly from it. I do have a recommendation. There is an app you can get that will let you record almost anything on TV, including Netflix and Amazon Video. It's called Playon and I highly value it. There is a free version, but if you buy the inexpensive upgrade, you will be able to record anything without commercials. It's one of my best purchases.

- Answer You have to format it for Mac. I returned mine for a Western Digital 4T, It's already formatted for Mac. I use for Time Machine

- Answer I assume it would work fine. I work with Adobe Premiere Pro projects, good sized intensive projects, and don't have any slowness problems with the hd.

- Answer Yes but you’ll have to reformat it. Choose GUID Partition Format and then you can make it bootable.
