• I have an HP laptop 17-bs0xx that I bought from Sam's Club during last year's around Black Friday sale. It is the most unfriendly computer I own software wise. Many conflicts. I hate the HP software but it still works well with this little Seagate stdr5000100 external hard drive. So the answer for my model HP at least is yes it will work well.
