I store all of that . I have backed up my entire mac including applications. I always do a scan of my computer before, for example, opening up documents and transferring everything at once. especially if it has been a while since I last backed it up. I do not want to back up malware etc. Tho I have only found a couple of files like that in ten years of checking.
