Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know. When I portioned the drive I into two partitions, it used a Mac OS Extended (journalized) format. I did not see an option for FAT 32.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been able to format my drive to ExFAT. Options in Disk Utility on OS X state it can be formatted to MS-DOS (FAT), Mac OS Extended (Journaled), Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled), and ExFAT. I suggest using ExFAT due to the size of the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can't using windows tools. They call it Fat32 because there is a 32gb partition limit. But according to the article on the page, you can. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/format-large-hard-drive-fat-fat32/ I formatted it to NTFS with windows 8.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this unit exceeds the maximum size allowable for a FAT32 partition.
