“Will it playback movies on any device. Have a Seagate goflex connected to my router and use goflex share. I have to convert movies to mp4 and watch on my ipod when on share. When I try to watch on windows I'm told a file system error occured on the server . No movies playback on my android tablet either. Does this item correct those problems?”

I've had no problems playing any file type movies on any devices with this drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you have a goflex external drive you can plug that in to the USB port of the TV and play movies and music. You can view photos too. The TV does not support .mkv files. It plays MP4 and WMV files.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Batman, it may not be the device but an actual codec needed to code the video. Search for video codecs and install them on your tablet or pc. This storage device will hold any type of video you save to it. It's up to the player you are hooking it up to to decode the video or not. Hope this helps!
