• If you dropped this from 2ft. onto a hard surface, I would give it a 10% chance of survival...

• Probably not as this is a mechanical drive with moving parts. The drive is especially vulnerable to drops when operational. Also, it depends on the surface it's being dropped on - carpeted, hard wood, concrete? Otherwise, it seems to be durable. If the drive is parked (unplugged), it should survive a 2ft floor on a carpeted surface. Possible cosmetic damage could take place if dropped on hard wood, concrete, and other un-padded surfaces
