• That is what I use it for. Just have to formate it when you plug it in a rather easy process.

• Yes, any external hard drive that is USB 3.0 and has more than 256GB of storage can be added as an expansion. My suggestion too is to find a hard drive that spins at 7200RPM to enable the fastest data transfer possible.

• Yes!! That's exactly what I used it for. Make sure you change your settings when you hook it up to external drive.
