• Yes - I've been using it with Windows 8.1 with no problems. (I have NOT been using the bundled software - just using it as an external drive).

• We used it with my wife's windows 8.1 laptop and had no issues. But we used the windows back-up and not the built in software.

• Yes, it will. I'm currently using this external drive on a HP with Windows 8.1 and it works great. Plugged it in and went right to work. No problems at all.
