USB 3 has a much faster transfer rate than USB 2. It means that it is backward compatible to the slower USB 2 found on older devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It means it supports the faster 3.0 USB if your computer supports it, but if you only have USB 2.0 it will still work just slow down transfer rates. In other words it's versatile and backwards compatible with older technology.
