• Not to my knowledge. That would cross the copyright laws. I know you can store your purchased movies or music from iTunes or similar items though.

• That depends on your DirecTV device but generally, no you can't do this. They disable this feature on most if not all of their devices because of copyright restrictions. You can call DirecTV and see if they will enable it.
