Absolutely. You just have to format the drive to MacOS format by using the Disk Utility within MacOS

Yes IF you buy the one that is for a Mac. They offer ones for Mac and PC and they are not interchangeable.

Yes, you might need to format the drive and change the file system after you plug it in. Consider using exfat file system.

I can't remember for 100% certainty, but I'm pretty sure by default the hard drive is set in NTFS file system, which is more aimed towards Windows users.
