Is it compatible with OS Mac 10.10.5 ? null

According to the box it came in, the Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2 TB Black is compatible with MacOS 10.11 or higher. However, there are instructions for formatting the drive to MacOS 10.6 to 10.10 on the Seagate Support website.
