• yes, for as long as it gets formatted to be compatible with Sony PS3 recording.

• It will work with the PS3 but not to save game data. you can stream video, music and pictures from the external drive and also backup your game data. In order to have more memory space just upgrade your internal drive with a bigger memory size 2.5" hard drive.
