How do I restore to an earlier time null

Go into Time Machine and pick the date and restore from there. Good luck. If you don't know what you're doing, you shouldn't mess with this feature.

The seagate backup plus will indeed work with windows but you have to format the drive so it gets recognized and usable in windows. You have to use a third party software to do so like aomei partition assistant or you can go to seagate's website and download acronis for seagate drives and doit with that, hope it helps.
