This external hard drive is great for anyone that needs extra space. Opens and loads files pretty quickly and even backs up your computer. Has a very slim design and the silver color almost matches the MacBook. Price is very reasonable.

Love that this drive is compact, slim, noiseless, and doesn't get overheated. It was easy to install and as long as it's plugged in Time Machine will update periodically. The One Drive space is an added bonus. I use a Macbook Pro 2012 OS X El Capitan, and it works with no problem.

After reviewing this external hard drive online at Best Buy I stopped in the store to pick it up. Getting it home, I unwrapped it, and plugged it in. Time Machine in the preferences got to work and did a complete back-up. So happy with this bit of insurance. Performs as expected.

I purchased this drive because I take a lot of photographs. I enjoy keeping my computer clean and free of clutter. I love organization and therefore I love my seagate. It's small enough that it doesn't take up room on my desk and even more compact that I can take it with me to work on files on the go. I enjoy the portability of it. It was very economical. Seagate is a trusted brand for me. I actually own quite a few of the seagate products.

Bought this to use on my macbook pro 15" retina and my surface pro 3, one as timemachin and one as regular hd. You have to do a quick split first so that one half is mac compatible and the other is PC, and after that, my HD's been working like a champ. Only complain is, the software that Seagate installs froze my computer, so do not install it, you don't need it. The HD is pretty light, very slim, and pretty fast. I am able to transfer GB of data from computer to computer with ease, and the 1TB I got is very good for my usage as well. BTW I got my wife the mac version, hers needed no partition obviously and has been working nicely since day 1.

After reading reviews I purchased this to use for iMac backup prior to upgrading my os. What drew me to this particular external drive was that it was ready to go for a mac, was a decent capacity and was on sale. Upon plugging in, it was a breeze to operate. I would recommend it for mac users. It also has a nice compact design. FYI, I didn't see it on the shelf at the store, but they had a number of them in the locked case.

i must confess there was some confusion on my part when i first tried using this product. it turned out i was over-thinking how to use it. it was much simpler than i imagined it to be. it is, simply put, very easy and simple to use. i have encountered no problems with it. it is nicely designed, sleek and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, lightweight and easily portable, fast and efficient

I was in the market for an external storage device for my Mac and wasn't looking to spend a whole lot of money on one either. After browsing Amazon, eBay and BestBuy, I finally found one on BestBuy. After reading the good reviews of this product and the features it offers, and the great price. How could I not buy this decide? This product is amazing, it's quick when backing up my computer information, I mean at first it was a little slow because I had to back up a lot of things but after that it doesn't take long to backup my computer. Plus it's Mac Cabiable, so that's a good thing. The product is very nicely designed and works well. I highly recommend his external storage device to anyone who's looking for a low cost device that gets the job done without having any issues.

This hard drive does exactly what I needed to do and works perfectly with the Mac. I use it as a back up hard drive so I have a mirror of my Mac just in case something happens to my computer. For the price of the size, and the speed, the drive is well worth it.

I have three of these drives and they are great. Nice and compact and reliable. Plugin and you are ready to go. I use these with a 2015 Macbook Pro retina and have had zero issues with any of the drives. Perfect for Time Machine backups or just general file storage. They also work great with my OWC Thunderbolt dock as well. No problems with drive recognition or any other bugs.

This is the perfect portable hard drive for my MacBook Pro. it was literally plug and play and works seamlessly with Time Machine. Exactly what I was looking for. It also has the same finish as my MacBook. 2TB for $69.
