No extra accessories are needed. The drive comes with the USB cable that connects to the system. I used in on the PRO and it worked just fine. I have to assume it would be the same with any model

Plug it in the front or I recommend the back and it will recognize it and set it up. Worked on my original og ps4 and my slim, I think I also used it on an Xbox one at one point. The only thing I will recommend is to put single player or story mode on this and try to save you internal for games like cod. I never figured out if it is just playstation in general or because I had the external drive but once the ps downloads an update it has to copy. Also the reason I said to use the back is if you knock the cord out, while your ps in running, you can corrupt the data. It gives an opinion to repair and has always done so, but good to know
