• The PlayStation will definitely not connect to games that you have stored on your laptop I want you to our game on your laptop and then play it through your PlayStation I don't know how that would work

• If your using this as additional storage for a laptop, then, no you don't need to redownload anything. It will save files the same as if you saved them to your C:\ drive in Windows. You just have to plug it in to use it.
