Usually they are barracuda drives but I have heard that OEMs will use whatever drives they have surplus of inside external enclosures so you can sometimes luck out and get a more expensive HDD inside.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The STG is designed for compatibility with the Xbox. The others are designed for compatibility with Widows or Mac. They may work with the Xbox although they will probably experience shorter life spans. The "why shorter?" answer is one I can only provide using a technical explanation that most without experience in hardware or system I.T. will have trouble understanding. Basically it has to do with how the drive will fragment and other more complicated and confusing things. The difference between the 3 drives you listed that do not start with STG is basically just the storage size of each drive. If you check Seagate's website you will notice the drive comes in different sizes.
