Yes, you can use it for both, with one caveat. You would have to partition the drive with your computer and essentially split the hard disk into two individual drives. You then format one partition for media compatibility and the other for gaming. The physical disk would still be a single unit, but when the computer identifies it, it will see two hard drives. You will then need to tell it which one. If you are using a PC and utilize Disk Manager, you can name the partitions "Movies" and the other "Xbox games".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you cannot put movies and games on the same drive; there formatted in a different way you have to use one for movies and another for games
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can’t do both. If you want movies and music media you have to format the hard drive for music and movies. Games are formatted into a totally different format. So, the answer is yes and no. Yes for just movies and music. Yes for just games. You can’t have both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No you can't. You must designate that this either stores your games or for your movies and music. The format for games is different than music and movies
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you set it up for media it will only work for media, you can use it for games and use internal for media. If you have more than 1TB of media as well as more than 1TB of games, you may need to get two external drives.
