• Yes it will. It fits perfectly in all the PS3 models. I put it in my friends original 40GB PS3, and it installed smoothly without any problems. Great price for a great drive!

• Yes, any laptop SATA 2.5" hard drive should work in any of the PS3's.

• I don't know about the absolute original model, but I have a "Fat" PS3, it isn't the original SKU, but still same shape/size and it works great in mine, was easy to install also.
