• It most likely will. Not enough information. Are you replacing the previous drive or adding to it? If you're replacing, then yes, there's 99% chance it will work. If you're trying to add to it, then you need to do more research.

• As an external drive IF you have an enclosure. It is in the spec and not very well displayed this is a 3.5" form factor drive. You need a 2.5" form factor drive.

• If you are asking if this drive would work INSIDE your HP laptop, then I would say no. This is an external drive meant to be connected via USB to a computer. It would work that way with your HP. Whether or not you can disassemble the external drive and make it work inside your HP depends on a lot of things, and may not be possible. In any event, I would recommend not trying that. Just take your HP to a store and ask them what you need to put inside it, if that is what you want to do.
