No, you can't browse the web with this. It's a hard drive that creates its own wifi network so that you can access files on it from a tablet, smart phone, or notebook computer that is within its limited range without having to physically connect this hard drive to the device. It does not connect to the internet itself. However, if you connect it to a computer via a USB port, you can use it just as you would any other portable hard drive, including downloading videos and other files to it from the internet--if your computer has an internet connection of its own. If you connect a device to this drive via wifi, you lose your connection to any other wifi, so you can't connect to the internet at all with the connected device so long as you're connected to this drive via wifi.
