Very easy to use and setup on both my pc and both of my android devices (tablet + phone). Battery life lasts longer than my devices.

This is a great device when you go someplace where you can't access your media or document files from your Cloud, and they aren't stored on your device, what options do you have? One option would be to take along your Seagate Wireless.The ease of use to stream separate videos from this device at the same time. Or you can take your iPad on your next flight and have a large choice of movies. Or if you have a huge collection of music, store them all on this and save your hard drive for other things.

I purchased this product primarily because I travel frequently and wanted a way to access my information from home without having to worry if I am going to be in range of a public network. This device allows me to easily store my movies, documents, and images and access them from a tablet or notebook. I have been using mine with my Samsung Galaxy Tab and its works great. Installation and instructions were lacking and I did have to pull addition info from the internet. However once I had the info, setup was quite simple. Several devices can connect to your wireless network which can also be password protected. In addition you can use this device to connect to the internet and perform searches. Network connections did fluctuate and I did have to reset the device shortly after purchase but its been fine since then.

those of us who like apple products and live with the limited storage space should consider this device. Worked great with my phone and iPad. The transfer speeds can be kind of slow but doesn't bother me. Plugged in speeds are competitive with other similar portable drives. Easy to set up and operate.

This product is really good, even if you don't have internet. I'm currently in the military and using this when I'm out to sea with no internet down in the birthing, works wonders. Just put all your movies and videos on it and view everything through the app. And if you have unsupported file types like .mkv, just download the VLC app, that works great. My only take away from this product is that sometimes streaming can get choppy when watching your videos, that's using VLC, I do not know if it would do the same with just the stock Seagate app. Also, it keeps telling me to update the harddrive, but every thing I try and what they say to do, never works. So I just don't bother updating. Other than that, this product works great for streaming to iPads, iPhones, Android devices and pretty much anything else!

Handy for trips. no need for wireless plan access unless you want to access the internet simultaneously...but battery life won't last long. recommend separately sold portable backup charger (like iSound 6000mAh) for phone and wireless drive (significant cost increase, but if you really want the entertainment and you like gadgets it's worth it). Size, weight, appearance are all convenient and attractive. USB connector attachment to drive is a bit bulky. Media must be in format used by your phone/pad (which makes sense). 1Tb holds LOTS of photos, music, and movies! Phone app implies possible tie in with your phone/pad stored media...but it didn't access my phone media files within the app, only the wireless drive files. Anyway, you'd be better off turning off the drive if you want to use your phone files to save battery life.

THE DIRECTIONS SAY TO GO TO THE APP STORE AND DOWNLOAD THE SEAGATE APP.....WELL THERE IS NOT APP. SO I HAD TO GO TO THE SEAGATE WEBSITE AND IDENTIFY WHICH MODEL I HAD THEN DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM. SO I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT WILL WORK ON MY IPAD AND PHONE SINCE YOU NEED APPS. BUT IT WORKS GREAT ON MY MAC BOOK. IT'S LIKE HAVING YOUR OWN CLOUD FOR ALL OF YOUR DEVICES. IT ALLOWS ME TO EVEN ACCESS MY MOVIES AND MUSIC TO ACCESS ON MY SMART TV'S..

Great external and wireless, good storage capacity.

I checked a few other products and wanted something that was wireless to take to other locations. This fit the bill wonderfully. It is compatible with both PC and Mac as well as mobile devices.

I was looking for a wireless hard drive that didn't need a computer. I haven't owned a computer for years. I use my phone and tablet for everything and this hard drive let's me store and retrieve my files in just minutes. Highly recommended

I was able to move my large music library (over 256 GB) via USB fairly quickly and can now access my entire library from multiple computers and mobile devices. It makes it very easy to take my entire library with me. The battery is supposed to last for 10 hours, but I am seeing less time than that, so I may have issues on long International flights. When adding music to my library, it slows the transfers down significantly (High speed broadband to slower WiFi transfer). Overall, this is a decent device if you have a desire to take more of your music or movies with you than fits on your phone or tablet.

Its a good portable hard drive. The wireless does work. Having issues getting it to connect to my wireless internet so I can be connected to the drive and my internet at the same time. But where I don't have wireless internet its nice to wireless connect to the drive to watch videos

So far so good! It holds a lot of documents. It's portable is what I like. The wireless works ok but could be better. The app to use it has a lot of issues. It's hard to find what you are looking for when you are using the app. Pictures don't show up for everything to help find things easy so you will spend time clicking on each picture until you find what you are looking for. Transferring pictures via wireless can be slow. I just hook the Hard Drive up to the computer to make things faster and to help organize my pictures and videos and documents more. Other than that it's not too bad. They need to work on the App more.

This Seagate Wireless device works with so many 3rd party devices, it allows you to connect up to five (5) deices at the same time. The only limitation is the software doesn't convert the files to be compatible with every format to be read per the different devices. For instant iPad read mp4 but not avi. The program will not convert the avi to mp4 so the video will not play without an additional 3rd party app. Other than that this wireless hard drive is awesome! It is a great buy!

I bought this because I wanted to be able to store all my kids digital movies on it instead of taking up valuable space on my iPad Air 2. We use our iPad in the car when we travel. It has a lot of space to save my entire music library and all my kids movies. However, due to some technical incompatibility between the drive and Apple products, the iPad won't recognize any movies that were downloaded and stored in iTunes. I contacted Apple and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. So, while I still have a drive with lots of storage that I can take places, it doesn't work at all for what I originally intended and for what it was advertised.

Use this to store my movies on it. Great device, my kids watched movies from 3 different ipads simultaneously. Quality picture transfers and it keeps a charge well. Highly recommend!

So far this unit has been great. I have been able to connect my iPhone and nook tablet to it to stream movies to both devices while traveling. Was easy to setup though required a couple of updates to the software before I could use with iPhone. Online docs relatively easy to read and understand. Nice mobile interfaces for either android or iPhone devices. Would like to be able to delete files via the mobile interfaces but I guess I can use other file system editors to do that. Battery life has been great even under heavy usage.

This wireless hard drive is a great way to store your media files (movies, TV shows, music, pictures, etc), and stream it on your mobile devices. Even if you have a higher capacity iPad for example, it's probably not enough space to store enough movies to keep you and your family entertained. It's so convenient because you only need to copy the files to the hard drive once, and up to 8 devices? can access the media at the same time. And of course, you can use it as a regular hard drive too =) The only negative that I can think of is that if you're connecting the Wi-Fi through the Seagate Wireless Plus, your wireless speed will be reduced. When I connect my iPad directly to my wireless router, my download speed is about 50Mbps, but when I connect it through the Seagate Wireless Plus, the speed dropped to 8Mbps. And it doesn't support the 5Ghz frequency. Just keep that in mind. However, I didn't have trouble streaming HD movies from the Wireless Plus hard drive on my iPad. Overall, it's a good option to conveniently take your media files on-the-go.

Great to save stuff if you don't have a computer, only wish I could make folders to sort family and friends and different events . Over all awesome for the price

The product works reasonably well and the interface is fine, but if you "upgraded" to IOS 8, your purchased itunes DRM video content will not playback. This has been an ongoing issue for almost a year and somehow I missed it when researching the product. I could have missed it, but I don't think many reviewers, if any, mentioned the IOS DRM issue on the Best Buy site. Google around a bit on this issue before purchasing.
