• Yes, USB 3.0 drives are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports. I have two USB 3.0 external drives that worked just fine on USB 2.0 until I finally upgraded.

• The drive has no Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection, it uses Wi-Fi not a wired connection such as USB.
