“I see a rep said app is ONLY for apple devices and "to get the most out of it use the app".....does this mean if i have an android that certain features are locked? Maybe wont go over 15mph if no app for example? Can i still lock this thing w/out apple?”

Dear Customer, No — the Segway-Ninebot app is available for both iOS and Android, so you won’t lose access to speed modes, max speed, or locking features if you’re on Android. The scooter will perform exactly as advertised regardless of which phone you use. The only feature that is exclusive to Apple devices is the Find My Apple integration, since that’s part of Apple’s ecosystem. Everything else — including locking/unlocking, ride stats, firmware updates, and speed settings — works on Android through the Segway-Ninebot app. So in short: Android users get the full scooter experience, with the exception of Apple’s “Find My” tracking feature.
