• There will be unofficial firmware hacks to increase speed. There are already a multitude of hacks available for other Segway Ninebot products to do things like increase speed and torque (at the expense of range), use unofficial batteries, and change braking settings. Look up XiaoFlasher to start.

• Hi MopedCourrier, thanks for your question. Because we care about safety as much as we care about fun and quality, we designed the C80 to have a max speed of 20 mph. The experience at this speed is still super fun and exciting. Hope this answers your question.
