• Segway official answer is unplug the battery and charge it every two months, the ECU backup battery will still drain the battery if you plugged in to the bike

• Just on the safe side I'd remove the battery from the vehicle and charge it every month to keep it from drop below 20%

• Plugging it in to the main power cord is OK. As long as the unit is not fully discharged, and is checked, regardless if it is inside the C80 or not and the correct storing temperature is being followed.
