A:AnswerHi madhatter, great question. No license is required in most states in the US. Please refer to local laws and regulations for license requirements. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerHi Johnny5,
I've been dealing with this myself. According to a tag agency we need Segway to provide us with a "Manufacturer Certificate of Origin" in order to register the C80 eMoped in Florida. I have asked Segway support twice for this and have gotten nowhere. Electric scooters have been banned in Miami, FL so I cannot sue these on public roads without a registration. I hope to one day get the documents I need. I advise against getting this product for the time being (I bought it through Indiegogo).

A:AnswerThere's nothing on the Segway site for C80 spare parts so I would assume it's not available yet. You can plug the charger directly into the battery outside of the bike.
A:AnswerThere will be unofficial firmware hacks to increase speed. There are already a multitude of hacks available for other Segway Ninebot products to do things like increase speed and torque (at the expense of range), use unofficial batteries, and change braking settings. Look up XiaoFlasher to start.
