Our QA staff at the factory claims this can handle a 20% grade hill. As in all things, your mileage may vary, in this case hill climbing depends a lot on the momentum you have going into the hill, the speed mode selected (sport mode will give you the best performance, but also drain your battery faster). It also depends on the smoothness of the surface and your weight.
