I believe the limit is 50, but I could be mistaken. 
I would recommend you to set up a hub so that you can tie them all to one device. Talk to the store clerk at Best Buy and they can explain it better.

Not with the smart WIfi bulb. Just name them bulb 1, bulb 2 etc. set them all up separate.

I read where you can use up to 10 without a hub but don't have that many connected

I don't think so because it is connected via Wi-fi. I have two of these bulbs currently connected with no issues. Each bulb connects separately and has it's own "name" so I would think the number would not be limited.

I wouldn’t know because I could not get mine to work on my Wifi. Only thing I can figure out is that it only works on 2.4ghz and my xfinity WiFi is a combination of 2.4 and 5. Returning it tomorrow
